About the artist

The story so far

AVIRRA is a Malaysian vocal group formed by alumni of the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), united by a shared passion for music, meaningful messages, and positive influence.

The name AVIRRA draws inspiration from Avi, associated with the Latin word for bird, symbolising a messenger carrying news across distances, and Virra, associated with courage, representing the spirit of struggle, bravery, and perseverance.

Together, AVIRRA represents the courage to carry hope forward — creating music that seeks to reignite the human spirit, inspire resilience, and encourage every listener to journey towards a brighter future.
